Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Follow these instructions:Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. (BTW, this is the way I did it.) save the file then close your windows explorer. Once you find this file, delete the text in it and type your product key in here exactly as it's written in your CD box.
I am not sure what this file would be called for the standard edition, i'm sure something along the lines of 'stdkey.txt'.
The second way involves going to your main FSX folder and opening the file called 'dlxkey.txt' without qoutes. The first way is to just try the instuctions I have included, then type you key in the activation window.
